2004 (Junior): Was a valuable commodity out of the bullpen... used primarily as a lefty-specialist... made 21 appearances out of the bullpen... finished the season with a 5.40 ERA... struck out 14 batters and walked only seven in 21.2 innings of work... pitched 1.2 innings against Dallas Baptist on Feb. 7.. didn't allow a run or hit, struck out one and walked two... had a rough second outing against UTA... gave up five runs on four hits in 1.1 innings... didn't allow an earned run or a walk in his next five appearances, spanning 5.1 innings of work... surrendered a single run in 2.1 innings of work against Southern Miss on April 2... had another stretch of seven appearances without allowing an earned run... spanned 4.2 innings... longest outing of the season came on May 9 against Cincinnati... allowed three runs on six hits in three innings... pitched a scoreless inning on June 4 against Oral Roberts.
2003 (Sophomore): Saw action in five games out of the bullpen... first appearance of the season as a brief stint vs. Texas Tech on Feb. 8... faced two batters, allowing a hit and recording an out... had some tough luck the rest of the way as he was tagged for 12 runs in his next four outings... saw his ERA reach a season-high 20.77 after allowing four runs in only one inning of work against Baylor on Apr. 22... finished season on a bright note... in two innings of work against Louisville, allowed one run on five hits.
2002 (Freshman): Made 11 appearances for the Frogs, including two starts... did not figure in any decisions while posting an 8.87 ERA... opened season with one perfect inning in upset of No. 9 Texas on Feb. 8... tossed one scoreless inning in 5-4 loss to Charlotte on Mar. 31... both starts came vs. UT-Arlington (Feb. 12 and May 14)... struck out four in 3.2 innings of work against UTA on May 14... was tough against left-handers, as southpaws batted only .269 against him.
2001 (True Freshman): Redshirted
High School: Local product, starred at Fort Worth's Nolan Catholic High School... set Nolan Catholic records for wins in a season and career... helped Nolan to back-to-back state semifinal appearances in 99-00... garnered first-team all-district and all-state plaudits... high school teammate of current Frog Tim McGough.
