Freifeld Called Up to U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team Training Camp

FORT WORTH – The national team recognition continues for representatives of the TCU women's soccer team, as newcomer Eres Freifeld was called up to the upcoming U.S. U-19 Women's National Team Training Camp at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in in Fayetteville, Georgia, from June 25-July 3, the organization announced Wednesday.
Last season, Freifeld appeared in 21 matches for North Carolina and secured six starts throughout the season, logging 806 total minutes on the pitch. The Bend, Oregon, native recorded three total goals and six points. For the year, Freifeld took nine shots with five on goal for .556 shots on goal percentage.
The rising sophomore joins a cohort of newcomers for the program that currently features 16 new faces on the roster. An early enrollee, Freifeld was able to develop on campus in the spring and looks to further that case with the U-19 Women's National Team.
Freifeld and the TCU women's soccer team will start the season on Aug. 13, heading on the road to take on Wisconsin. TCU will play eight home matches this season, and season tickets are available now here.
