
TCU in Second at The Desimone Invitational

Beauchamp in top 10 after 36 holes
DALY CITY, Calif. – Competing against some of the nation's best teams, TCU is in second place at The Desimone Invitational following an opening day which consisted of 36 holes.
The Horned Frogs shot 15-under 273 in the first round, which was the second-best round of the day for the 15-team field. TCU was 7-under 281 in the second round for a score of 22-under 554 for the tournament. No. 9 Arizona State leads at 29-under par.
Senior Jack Beauchamp leads the Frogs at 6-under 138 and in a tie for ninth place. During Beauchamp's opening round score of 4-under 68, he went 6-under par over an 11-hole stretch.
Freshman Sam Udovich opened a round of 5-under 67. It was his fifth round of 5-under par or better this season. Udovich followed it up with a round of even-par 72 to finish the first day in a tie for 14th place at 5-under 139.
Another freshman, Nathan Miller, was one shot behind Udovich at 4-under 140. He had rounds of 3-under 69 and 1-under 71.
Charlie Wylie recovered from a first round of 4-over 76 to shoot a season-best 4-under 68. He is tied for 45th place at even-par 144.
Toby Wilt opened with his 13th round of par or better with a score of 3-under 69. He's tied for 64th place at 3-over 147.
The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday.
