Miller, Udovich place in top 20
DALY CITY, Calif. – For the fourth-straight tournament, TCU finished in the top three with a second-place finish at The Desimone Invitational on Tuesday.
The Horned Frogs shot 19-under 845 at Lake Merced Golf Club, which trailed only No. 9 ranked Arizona State (-39). TCU defeated six teams ranked in the top 30 including No. 4 Texas and No. 10 Pepperdine.
The freshmen duo of Nathan Miller and Sam Udovich led TCU at 3-under 213, which tied for 20th. It was Miller's and Udovich's third top 20 finishes of the season.
Jack Beauchamp finished one shot back of the freshmen at 2-under 214 and in a tie for 28th place.
Toby Wilt had TCU's best round of the day at 2-under 70. Wilt tied for 38th place at 1-over 217.
The Horned Frogs will return to the west coast March 26-28 when they compete at The Goodwin in Stanford, Calif.
