Posted a 5-0 record across a trio of TCU victories
FORT WORTH – Following a week in which he posted a 5-0 individual record and led TCU to two ranked road wins, Cosme Rolland De Ravel has been cited as the best of the Big 12 Conference.
Rolland De Ravel was honored as Big 12 Player of the Week for March 9-15 as determined by the league office.
He defeated a pair of top-50 singles players in TCU's victories at No. 22 Florida and No. 12 on Tuesday and Friday. Rolland De Ravel won all three of his doubles matches alongside Duncan Chan. The newly-minted ITA No. 2 ranked pair, Rolland De Ravel and Chan clinched the doubles point in the Horned Frogs' 4-3 triumph over the Gators and home shutout of Texas Tech on Sunday.
Rolland De Ravel is the first TCU player to receive the recognition in 2026.
TCU's lone senior, Rolland De Ravel was elevated to the 1-line in both singles and doubles ahead of a three-match SEC road swing that began with a 4-1 takedown of then-No. 2 Texas on March 7. He has yet to lose since assuming the top spot in the Horned Frogs' lineup. Behind Rolland De Ravel, TCU (12-4, 1-0 Big 12) has won four straight matches and ascended to No. 2 in the ITA tram rankings on Tuesday.
For his efforts, Rolland De Ravel achieved career-high ITA rankings in singles (No. 25) and doubles. Rolland De Ravel is one of only eight players in college tennis featuring in the top-25 of both the singles and doubles rankings.
From Fontaine Les Dijon, France, Rolland De Ravel put two wins on the board in the Horned Frogs' takedowns of Florida and Georgia.
He and Chan kicked off TCU's dual in Gainesville with a 7-5 defeat of Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn that locked up the doubles point. Rolland De Ravel stretched the Frogs' lead to 3-1 with a come-from behind 6-7 (1), 6-2, 6-0 victory over the 50th-ranked Jefferson.
Rolland De Ravel was the only TCU player to win his match in singles and doubles in TCU's 4-1 win over the Bulldogs. He rolled to a convincing 6-2 win over No. 43 Arda Azkara and Santiago Giamichelle in doubles. Rolland De Ravel then got the better of Azkara for a second time, sweeping the nation's 32nd ranked player 6-3, 6-4.
The performances boosted Rolland De Ravel's combined season record to 38-11. He is 24-4 in doubles play for the year. Alongside Chan, the tandem is 18-0 overall, 13-0 in duals and 4-0 vs. ranked pairs. Rolland De Ravel's straight set win over Azkara was his seventh ranked victory of the 2025-26 season. He has won three consecutive matches vs. ranked players.
TCU and Rolland De Ravel are back in action on Friday and Sunday for a pair of road matches at No. 25 Arizona State and No. 15 Arizona.
