FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – TCU's Yannik Knobloch and Indya Mayberry wrapped up the indoor season at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships earning All-American honors.
Competing in the Heptathlon, Knobloch finished 14th overall to secure Second Team All-American honors. He scored 4,873 points through six events; however, the sophomore did not finish the 1000m after suffering an injury on the pole vault.
Mayberry grabbed a pair of All-American nods in the sprints. She was tabbed a First Team All-American in the 200m and received Second Team honors in the 60m dash.
On day one, Knobloch sat in ninth place through the first four events of the Heptathlon. He opened the competition with a 7.07 60m dash before leaping 7.29m (23-11) in the long jump. In the shot put, he had the seventh best throw in the field with 13.48m (44-2¾), and concluded with a 2.00m (6-6¾) high jump clearance.
He followed it up with an 8.54 60m hurdles run to start day two. In the pole vault, Knobloch had a few clutch attempts, getting over the bar at 4.27m and 4.47m on his final tries. He cleared 4.57m (15-0), just 0.03m off his career best mark, but pulled up with a leg injury on 4.67m. Knobloch reported to the start line for the 1000m but was unable to finish the race.
Mayberry ran the sprint double on Friday, having just over two hours of rest between her two races. In the 60m dash, she finished ninth with a 7.21. The sophomore was just 0.006 shy of advancing to the final. Mayberry came back in the 200m later in the evening and qualified for the final with a 22.80. On Saturday, she recorded a time of 22.81 to finish sixth overall.
With the indoor season officially wrapped, TCU track and field turns its attention to the outdoor season, which kicks off on March 20 in Fort Worth when the Frogs host the TCU Alumni Invitational.
