TCU Finishes Third at PRC Championships

Hogan takes home bronze in the individual finals
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – TCU fired a 2,384 in air rifle on the final day of the Patriot Rifle Conference championships for a final team tally of 4,745. The Horned Frogs finished third overall in the match. Mikole Hogan took home bronze individually.
Nebraska took home the title, posting a team score of 4,758. Ole Miss tied the Frogs with a score of 4,745, but finished second on the strength of a 350-345 advantage in center shots. Alaska Fairbanks finished fourth, shooting a 4,719 followed by UTEP (4,702), Air Force (4,700) and Ohio State (4,685).
Hogan fired a 228.5 in the finals to finish third. Hillinger finished seventh individually, shooting a 143.7 in the final.
Two Frogs finished in the top 10 of all shooters. Katie Zaun led the field with an aggregate score of 1,194, which matches her season high. Rylie Passmore finished eighth overall with an aggregate score of 1,186.
TCU's first relay was solid as Hillinger and Hogan fired their finals-qualifying scores of 598. Both shooters matched their season-high score. Passmore turned in a score of 594.
In the final relay of the day, Zaun shot a 598, while Marissa Fedora and Alexandra Rosenlew shot identical marks of 594.
TCU's postseason run continues on Feb. 21 with the NCAA qualifier at Air Force. The match will serve as one of the four scores used to determine the eight programs that will advance to the NCAA Championships.
