
TCU Wraps up Day Four of Big 12 Championships

Horned Frogs win two medals and set 14 top-10 times
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The TCU swimming and diving program had numerous impressive performances, including two podium finishes on day four of the Big 12 Championships at Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The highlights of the day came on men's platform diving and the closing 200 free relay. On platform, sophomore Bryn James scored a 352.10 to sneak his way into third on the final dive of the night. In the concluding event on day four, the relay group of Peter Horton, Nigel Forbes, Colin Clough and Max Zinn swam a 1:17.88 to finish third to secure bronze and collect the third-fastest effort in school history.
TCU recorded its most top-10 marks in a single day during the Big 12 Championships, setting 14 new times. The Frogs also had six contenders in the A finals throughout the day and nine individuals make a consolation final.
At the conclusion of day four and with one day to go, the men's side sits in fourth with 752 points, and the women are currently fifth with a score of 548.
Nina Vadovicova improved on her top-10 time in the 100 breast during prelims, setting a new personal best of 1:00.15 to stay in second all-time. Viktor Hritov also recorded a time that currently sits in second in TCU history, recording a 1:45.20 in the 200 fly.
Along with the men's 200 free relay quartet that set a new top-10 time, the women's side also posted the third-quickest time in school history, as Josephine Brant, Molly Cullen, Hannah Wachendorfer and Aubrey Finn touched the wall in 1:30.52. During that relay split, Josephine Brant swam a 22.57 opening leg to land herself fourth all-time in school history.
Elliott Dillon narrowly missed out on a top-three finish on platform, scoring 343.05 points in the final on platform.
Paige Taber pulled in the fifth-fastest time in school history in the 100 back during the nightly session.
The men's 100 breast prelims also saw three top-10 marks earned in prelims by Nikola Koltin (53.59), Colin Clough (53.89) and Felipe Goncalves (53.92).
