Frogs begin eight game homestand Friday night

FORT WORTH – The TCU baseball team is set to kick off its home schedule Friday night when it hosts New Haven. The contest is the beginning of a season-long eight game homestand.

• TCU snapped a five-game losing streak with a run-rule victory at LMU on Monday afternoon.
• TCU remains ranked in four of the five major polls, checking in as high as No. 13 via the Baseball America Week 3 poll.
• Six freshmen (Brady Dallimore, Lance Davis, Kade Durnin, Uli Fersnler, Lucas Franco and Cade Nelson) have made their collegiate debuts.

NEW HAVEN NOTABLES
• New Haven is reclassifying to Division I after playing Division II NE10 last season.
• The opened their season last week, playing Missouri in a three game series in Fort Myers, Fla.
• The Chargers dropped all three games via the run-rule in seven innings.
• As a team, the Chargers hit .171 with a double and a home run against Missouri.
• Aedan Forde and Bobby Herzman co-lead the team with a .400 average.
• Herzman has hit the lone home run this season.
• New Haven committed 11 errors over the weekend which led to 10 unearned runs.
• On the mound, the staff issued 20 walks and tallied 18 strikeouts.
