
Track and Field Wraps up Competition at Corky Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU track and field wrapped up its first team competition of 2026 at the Corky Classic on Saturday afternoon.
For the second day in a row, junior Georgia Scott picked up an event win, blowing away the field in the mile. She turned in a 4:51.69, a new personal best and the eighth fastest time in school history. TCU also saw a top three finish from Anastacia Gonzales, who ran her way to a second-place finish in the 1000m with a time of 2:46.74.
The Frogs had several top-10 finishes on day two of competition. Triple jumpers Damilare Olukosi and Jamitrius Jessie had solid showings, finishing fifth (15.16m) and eighth (14.77m). In the 600y, Tia Williams (fourth, 1:20.52) and Laila Smith (10th, 1:23.89) ran strong races and Isaac Carney (sixth, 1:09.86) and Dominic Byles (seventh, 1:10.15) saw success on the men's side in the same event.
TCU saw five distance runners place in the top-10 in the mile. Gabby Martin followed Scott with an eighth-place result, and the men's trio of Brayden Schick, CJ Meyer and Grant Martinez all turned in sub-4:30 miles.
In the sprints, the Harlin twins finished seventh and ninth in the 200m. Tenna Harlin's 23.92 just missed the top-10 all-time list at TCU.
The Frogs are back in action on Jan. 23 with split squad action at the JD Martin Invitational and Ten Nelson Invitational.
