TCU will begin play at Colonial on Monday
FORT WORTH – TCU will host the nation's top tournament in men's college golf on Monday and Tuesday when the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab begins at Colonial Country Club.
The prestigious event, held annually in Fort Worth, features 13 of the top 25 programs in the country. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. for 36 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday with tee times as early as 8 a.m. The practice round will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The Horned Frogs will go with the lineup of Jack Beauchamp, Hudson Wilt, Charlie Wylie, Nathan Miller and Toby Wilt.

THE COURSE – Par 70 | 7,289 yards
Colonial Country Club has hosted an annual PGA Tour event since 1946, the longest running non-major tour event to be held at the same venue. The club was started in 1936 and hosted the 1941 U.S. Open, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women's Open. The course sits along the bank of the Trinity River and is located less than a mile from the campus of TCU.

- TCU's lineup features five of the players that competed in the season opening Carmel Cup. Sophomore Charlie Wylie has made TCU's lineup in all 13 opportunities in his career.
- TCU's lineup includes local products Jack Beauchamp (Grapevine) and Nathan Miller (Dallas).
- Beauchamp (64th) and Wylie (58th) played for TCU in this event last season. As a team, the Frogs finished in 15th place.
- The participating teams' rosters include 10 individuals ranked among the top 25 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), eight of the top nine players in the PGA TOUR University Ranking and seven 2025 Walker Cup participants.
- Schools in the field have produced nine of the past 12 Ben Hogan Award Presented by Baird winners. Included in that group is 2024 award winner Jackson Koivun of Auburn, who is scheduled to compete at next week's tournament. Koivun, a junior, is the No. 1-ranked amateur in the world and has placed 11th or better in four consecutive starts on the PGA TOUR.
- Other top-10 ranked amateurs on the rosters include Virginia's Ben James (WAGR No. 2), Oklahoma's Jase Summy (No. 4) and the Texas duo of Christiaan Maas (No.6) and Tommy Morrison (No. 9). Summy (Keller, Texas) and Morrison (Dallas) are local products.
- This is the eighth time that the tournament will be held at Colonial Country Club. Originally called the Nike Collegiate Invitational, Colonial hosted the event in 2014, 2016 and 2018 while alternating with Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore. The tournament moved to Fort Worth full-time in 2020 and was played as the Colonial Collegiate Invitational in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, the tournament was renamed the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational. The 2022 and 2024 editions were held at Colonial, while the 2023 event took place at Shady Oaks Country Club during Colonial's course renovation.
- Last year, Oklahoma won the team title with a 54-hole score of 830 (-10). North Carolina's David Ford, who later was a finalist for the 2025 Ben Hogan Award, grabbed medalist honors with a 9-under score of 201, earning an exemption into the 2025 Charles Schwab Invitational, Colonial's annual PGA TOUR stop.
