TCU rallies from six runs twice to win
The Rundown
TCU found itself down 12-6 at the stretch after BYU plated five runs in the top of the inning. With one out, the deficit was cut in half as Isaac Cadena launched a three-run shot to right field to make it a 12-9 game.
The comeback was complete in the ninth as the Frogs tied the game to force extra innings. Jack Arthur connected on a pinch-hit, two-run home run to pull the Frogs within one. Karson Bowen doubled to put the tying run in scoring position. With two outs, Cole Cramer singled to right and Cole Eaton slid home with the tying run.
In the 11th, Sam Myers reached on an bunt single. The throw to first sailed out of play, putting Myers on first. Brody Green singled to move the winning run 90 feet away with one out. After intentionally walking Sawyer Strosnider, Cramer hammered the first pitch into right center for the walk-off single.
Kaden Smith (1-0) was outstanding in tossing three scoreless innings in relief after taking over in the ninth. He allowed just one base runner and struck out four to earn the win.
BYU took its first six run lead in the second inning. Chase Brunson's first home run of the game in the fourth got the scoring started for TCU.
Bowen's home run in the fifth ignited a five-run rally to tie the game at six. With two outs, five straight Frogs reached. Noah Franco made it a three-run game with a base knock and Brunson completed the comeback with his second home run of the game.
BYU rebuilt its six run lead with a run in the sixth and five in the seventh, setting the stage for the wild comeback.

6 – TCU faced two six-run deficits in the game and twice came back to tie the game. It's the 15th come-from-behind win for TCU this season and the 10th time TCU has rallied from a multi-run deficit.
