
TCU Wraps Up Midweek Slate With Win

Horned Frogs go 9-2 in midweek games this season
FORT WORTH – TCU closed out the midweek portion of its schedule with a 3-1 win over UT Arlington Tuesday night at Lupton Stadium. The Horned Frogs finished the 2025 midweek schedule with a 9-2 record. Noah Franco led the way with three hits and an RBI while also tossing a scoreless inning on the mound.
The Rundown
TCU opened the scoring with a run in the second. Noah Franco led off the frame with a base hit, stole second and was standing on third with one out. Isaac Cadena delivered a sacrifice fly to put the Frogs in front 1-0.
The Frogs carried the slim lead into the later part of the game when they were eventually able to scratch across a couple of runs to put some distance between themselves and the Mavericks.
Cadena was in the middle of things again as he was hit by the pitch to lead off the seventh. He scored on a two-out pinch-hit from Nolan Traeger for a 2-0 lead. Colton Griffin's lead-off single came around to score on a Franco double and a 3-0 advantage in the eighth.
UT Arlington took advantage of a lead-off double in the ninth to score its lone run. The Mavericks never sent more than four batters to the plate in any one inning and only one base runner advanced beyond second base.
Kole Klecker started and retired all three batters he faced as did Kaden Smith in the sixth and Louis Rodriguez in the eighth. Mason Bixby (1-0) earned the win after pitching a scoreless second. Cohen Feser surrendered a lone hit in his two innings on the mound. Franco struck out one and walked one in the fifth, while Nate Stern fanned two around a base hit in the seventh. Kade Eudy allowed the lone run in the game, but earned his sixth of the save of the season.
