
TCU Survives on Allette Three, 73-72

Four Frogs score in double figures, including two freshmen
FORT WORTH – Vasean Allette made a game-winning 3-pointer with .4 seconds remaining to give TCU a 73-72 win over Oklahoma State Wednesday in Schollmaier Arena.
After not trailing all game, the Horned Frogs (13-11, 6-7) fell behind by one, 71-70 with 18 seconds to play following TCU's 17th turnover of the game. After an empty possession, the Cowboys (12-12, 4-9) went up 72-70 following a made free throw by Bandon Newman with 3.2 seconds left.
Jace Posey inbounded the ball from under TCU's basket and the ball went off the fingertips of Micah Robinson at mid-court and right to Allette, who turned and fired at the top of the 3-point arc. It was the final scoring of a 16-point night for the sophomore, who also led the team in rebounds with six and had a season-high seven assists.
With .4 seconds left, OSU was unable to get a shot off as it was batted away by David Punch.
Allette's backcourt mate, Noah Reynolds, finished with 13 points and a season-high eight assists.
Also in double figures were two freshmen with season highs. Robinson finished with 13 points and Malick Diallo had 10 points. Diallo played a season-best 23 minutes due to Ernest Udeh's foul trouble. The junior center played just nine minutes before fouling out.
The Horned Frogs held a rebounding edge of 35-34 and outshot the Cowboys from the field, 48.2 percent to 40.7 percent.
TCU, which has won three of its last four games, will play at Arizona State on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
