Two earn First Team nod, Three tabbed to Second Team
IRVING, Texas – Six members of the TCU football team have been added to the All-Big 12 Team, with Eric McAlister and Kaleb Elarms-Orr leading the way on the First Team, the conference announced Thursday.
Devean Deal, Bud Clark and Jamel Johnson earned Second Team accolades, while Namdi Obiazor picked up an Honorable Mention.
McAlister had one of the best regular seasons in TCU receiver history in 2025, currently sitting in second place on the single-season receiving yard charts with 1,121. He also eclipsed the 100-yard mark six times this season, which ties Josh Doctson's 2015 mark for most in a single season in TCU history.
The Azle, Texas, native also earned an Honorable Mention for Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, an award that ultimately went to BYU's LJ Martin.
Joining McAlister on the First Team, Elarms-Orr has enjoyed a breakout season in 2025. Against Baylor and West Virginia, he was the first Frog to post consecutive 15-plus tackle games since at least 1995 (records do not go back further).
For the season, the senior posted 119 tackles and 9.5 TFLs to lead the team in both categories. Of his 119 tackles, 57 have been solo.
Along with earning a nod on the Second Team, Deal also picked up an Honorable Mention for Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. During the season, he posted 50 tackles and 8.5 TFLs, along with 3.5 sacks.
