FORT WORTH – Following the Horned Frogs' second consecutive 20-win season, the Big 12 released its all-conference awards on Tuesday, with TCU's Evan Hendrix and Becca Kelley each earning honors as voted on by the league's head coaches.
Hendrix was a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 First Team while Kelley earned a spot on the Second Team. The sophomore duo has powered the TCU offense this season, helping the Frogs win 20 regular-season matches in back-to-back years for the first time since 2008-09, earn their first top-10 national ranking in school history and record a program record six victories against ranked opponents, including No. 5 Penn State and No. 8 Texas A&M.
After leading the Big 12 with 4.96 kills per set in conference play, Hendrix was a unanimous First Team selection. Over the course of the year, the Scottsdale, Arizona, native racked up 498 kills, the 16th most nationally and fifth most in a single season in TCU history. She paced the Frogs' offense with 541.0 points, besting a sophomore record set by Kourtney Edwards in 2007 (504.0), and earned a pair of Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Just a sophomore, Hendrix burst onto the scene, finishing with 20-plus kills in 10 matches, including 32 against No. 23 Missouri (Sept. 12) and 33 against Texas Tech (Nov. 22). Starting all 30 matches and playing all six rotations, she filled up the stat sheet, totaling 19 double-doubles and ranked 12th in the conference in total digs with 321, the most among outside hitters.
Kelley followed up her All-Big 12 Rookie season with Second Team Honors in 2025. The sophomore was the only Horned Frog to play all 116 sets this season, finishing with double-digit kills in 22 of 30 matches. She ranked second on the team with 339 kills, just a tick under 3.0 kills per set, and 382.5 total points (3.30 per set). This season, the Rockwall, Texas, native posted a career-high 21 kills in TCU's win over No. 18 Kansas (Oct. 1) and picked up the 500th kill of her career against Utah (Nov. 7).
TCU has had at least two student-athletes earn All-Big 12 honors all four years under head coach Jason Williams. Audrey Nalls and Callie Williams were First Team selections in 2022, Melanie Parr and Nalls earned All-Big 12 nods in 2023 and four Frogs (Jalyn Gibson, Alice Volpe, Parra and Kelley) received all-conference honors last season.
No. 20 TCU takes on SFA on Friday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m. CT in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament at Reed Arena in College Station.
