FORT WORTH – TCU turned to Scandinavia to supplement a roster with the talent and ambition to compete for a national championship.
The Horned Frogs and head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin announced the signings of Ella Forss of Göteborg, Sweden, and Henriette Gjelten of Lørenskog, Norway, to national letters of intent.
The touted pair of European amateurs will join TCU's roster as freshmen for the 2026-27 season.
"I am thrilled to officially add Ella and Henriette to our Frog Fam," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "They both bring exceptional talent, competitive experience, spirited teamwork and strong character to our elite program. They represent the values and true passion to the game that our team has at TCU. I am confident they will make an immediate impact on and off the golf course. Welcome to Funky Town, Ella and Henriette!"
Forss is ranked No. 6 overall among all Swedish players 18-or-under and No. 2 in the class of 2026. She was selected to compete for Sweden at the European Girls Team Championship and World Junior Girls Championship earlier in 2025. Forss has also played in the ANNIKA Invitational for four straight seasons.
"TCU opens all possible opportunities for you as a golfer but also to grow as a person," Forss said. "Nothing is missing and nothing is left behind. Everything is possible here if you are prepared to work hard and to become your best. The coaches are great and very experienced with a proven record, and the girls are both talented and hard-working and were all so kind and welcoming when I visited. This all made my decision so easy."
Gjelten has turned in a number of notable performances over the last calendar year. She has medaled three times since November of 2023. Gjelten tied for fourth at the 2024 R&A Girls Amateur Championship, finished T5 at the German International Amateur Girls Championship that same year and won a trio of Srixon Tour events sponsored through the Norwegian Golf Federation in 2025.
"I chose TCU because I love the girls and the team spirit," Gjelten said. "I'm looking forward to working with the girls, coach Angie and coach Kendall."
Forss and Gjelten's signings add depth to a young nucleus that has already led TCU to new heights. The Horned Frogs expect to return five players next season, including four who led TCU to the No. 15 year-end national ranking and broke nearly every major program scoring record in 2024-25.

Ella Forss – Göteborg, Sweden
Forss is set to end her 2025 season in style. She won both the team and individual titles at the Swedish Junior Matchplay Championships.
The touted amateur is a four-time winner on the Swedish Junior Tour and three-time winner on the Global Junior Golf Tour. Among her victories was a first place finish at the Stenson Sunesson Junior Challenge, an event organized by 2016 British Open champion Henrik Stenson, in 2024. The win earned Forss an opportunity to compete in the Faldo Junior Tour Europe Grand Final in Dubai, where she tied for third at one-under (215).
Forss tied for third at the European Girls Team Championship in July and placed T19 at the World Junior Girls Championship two months later. The performances helped Forss attain a career-high World Amateur Golf Ranking of No. 987 at the time of her signing.
She boasts a low-18 personal record of six-under 66 and career-best low-54 hole score of four-under 213.
Forss is the second member of her family to play Division I golf. Her older sister, Lisa, is a sophomore on the East Carolina women's golf team.
She intends to major in entrepreneurship and innovation at TCU.
Henriette Gjelten – Lørenskog, Norway

She competed on the junior side of all major amateur championship events in Europe in 2024, including the European Young Masters and French International Lady Juniors Amateur Championship.
Gjelten intends to major in psychology at TCU.
