Frogs place three inside the top 20
MAUI, Hawaii – Freshman Sam Udovich and the TCU men's golf team each finished as runner-up at the Ka'anapali Classic Wednesday at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course.

Udovich once again put another great scorecard together shooting 6-under 65 with six birdies. He had no bogeys in his final 37 holes of play.

Udovich's score of 19-under tied for the lowest score vs. par for 54 holes by a TCU player since at least the 1993-94 season. David Ravetto was the last Horned Frog to shoot 19-under, doing so at the Lake Charles Invitational in 2019. Udovich's total score of 194 was the lowest 54-hole total since at least 1993-94.

The Minnesota native finished one back of tournament champion Ryder Cowan (-20) of Oklahoma.

TCU's team total of 51-under par was the best score by the program since at least the 1993-94 season and total score of 801 was the best ever in that time frame. It was 19 strokes better than the Horned Frogs shot last season and would have won in any of the previous three Ka'anapali Classics. No. 21-ranked Oklahoma won the team title with a tournament record score of 63-under par.

Jack Beauchamp tied for seventh place with a career-best 13-under 200, one stroke better than last season's Ka'anapali Classic. It was his fourth-straight top 20 finish of the year. Beachamp shot 4-under 67 in the final round.

Like Beauchamp and Udovich, Toby Wilt also shot under par in all three rounds. Wilt shot 4-under 67 on Wednesday and finished with a career-best 12-under 201.

Competing as an individual, Nathan Miller tied for 37th place with a career-best 5-under 208. The freshman shot 2-under 69 in the final round as did sophomore Hudson Wilt, who finished tied for 45th place.
