TCU is tied for fourth

PALMAS DEL MAR, Puerto Rico – Jack Beauchamp tied for the best round of the day to open play at the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate Sunday in Puerto Rico.

Beauchamp shot 4-under 68 and is tied with three others atop the leaderboard. He carded four birdies and an eagle on the par five on No. 10.

Freshman Sam Udovich shot even-par 72 and is tied for 16^th place.

Toby Wilt and freshman Nathan Miller each shot 3-over 75 and are tied for 38^th place.

Competing as an individual, Charlie Wylie was one shot back at 4-over 76. Hudson Wilt made eagle on the same par 5 as Beauchamp and shot 5-over 77.

As a team, TCU is tied for fourth place with the host school, UNCG. The Horned Frogs shot 2-over 290 and trail Wake Forest (-6), Southern Illinois (-4) and Virginia Tech (+1).

TCU will begin the second round on Monday with a shotgun start at 6:30 a.m. CT.
