Three Horned Frogs scored in the win

HOUSTON – No. 22 TCU women's soccer extended its unbeaten streak to five games on Thursday night with a 3-1 win over Houston at the Carl Lewis International Complex. Lauren Memoly, Morgan Brown and Caroline Kelly all tallied for the Horned Frogs in the contest.

The Rundown
In a tightly contested first half that saw the Frogs outshoot the Cougars, 7-3, it was TCU that found the opening goal. Lauren Memoly opened the scoring with a goal in the 35th minute off an assist from Morgan Brown. Brown delivered a nice feed with her right foot while the ball was still in the air and found an open Lauren Memoly. With her back to the goal, she made a nice turn and found the ball with her right foot, buried it in the back of the net to give the Frogs a 1-0 lead.

Just 10 minutes into the second half, Morgan Brown notched her second goal of the year as she headed in the corner kick delivered by Bella Diorio to give the Frogs a 2-0 lead.

In the 68th minute, Caroline Kelly stretched her goal-scoring streak to three games. Cameryn Lancaster sent a long feed to space that Kelly was able to catch up to. She took on her defender down the line before she cut back inside the box and found the back of the net with a strike off her right foot.

Goalkeeper Megan Plaschko set a season-high with five saves. She made one stop in the first half. In the second, she fended off a come-back attempt by Houston with four saves. The lone blemish to her line was a rebound goal scored by Houston in the 81^st minute.

"It was a bit of a chess match in the first half. We knew the shape they were going to play, but they had some different personnel in the game. We were able to score a goal and scored a goal on a set piece in the second half and then Caroline Kelly got one as well. Really proud of our group, now we get ready for Baylor."
