TCU wide receiver recognized for his extraordinary athleticism
FORT WORTH -- For the second straight season, TCU wide receiver Savion Williams has been selected to Bruce Feldman's College Football Freaks list.
Williams appears at No. 47, up nine sports from last year.
Feldman is the National College Football Insider for The Athletic and a FOX College Football reporter. He annually produces the list to spotlight players with freakish athleticism.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Williams has a 600 back squat, 355 bench press, 350 power clean and 22.5 miles per hour max speed with GPS tracking. A former high school quarterback, Williams can throw a football 80 yards.
Williams had a career-best season last year in leading TCU with 573 yards receiving to go with 41 receptions and four touchdowns. His top performance was a career-high 11 catches for 164 yards, including a 14-yard TD, against Texas. He set a previous career best for receptions earlier in the season with six for 77 yards and a 7-yard score in the 44-11 win over BYU.
