
Nine Horned Frogs Qualify for Olympic Games Paris

It’s the most Olympians TCU has ever had
FORT WORTH – A total of nine current or former TCU student-athletes have qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, which will be held July 26-Aug. 11.
The Horned Frogs will have five current student-athletes competing and four whose college eligibility has expired.
Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno will represent Spain in women's beach volleyball. The duo became the first Olympians in the history of TCU's beach volleyball program. The duo didn't compete for TCU last season, but the 2023 AVCA Pair of the Year will return to play for the Horned Frogs for the upcoming season as seniors.
Hailey Van Lith earned a spot on the USA Basketball 3x3 Women's National Team. Van Lith joined the women's basketball team in the spring and will be a senior next season. A veteran to international competition, Van Lith is a five-time FIBA gold medalist and boasts extensive experience in both 5-on-5 and 3x3 with Team USA.
TCU swimming and diving will have two represented in Paris. Rhanishka Gibbs will compete for the Bahamas in the women's 50m freestyle. Jadon Wuilliez will compete in the 100m breaststroke for Antigua. Gibbs will be a sophomore next season and Wuilliez will be a senior.
Denmark will get help from TCU's 12-time first-team All-America selection Stephanie Grundoee. The 2024 grad is the second Olympian in program history, joining Sarah Scherer who competed in 2012 and 2016.
Amy Okonkwo, who finished at TCU in 2019, and Tomi Taiwo, who competed last season, will compete for Nigeria in 5-on-5 women's basketball. It will be Okonkow's second Olympics after playing in the 2020 Tokyo Games.
In men's tennis, Cam Norrie will compete for Great Britain. Norrie has represented his country in the last five United Cups and in the Davis Cup for three years. He's been ranked as high as eighth in the ATP singles rankings. The three-time All-American finished up at TCU in 2017.
