Beauchamp is in third, followed by Petruzzelli in fourth
MARICOPA, Ariz. – TCU remains in first place at the National Golf Invitational following Saturday's second round at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.
The Horned Frogs shot two better than the opening round with an 11-under 277. At 20-under 556 overall, they lead second place Washington State (-19) by one stroke.
Sophomore Jack Beauchamp put together another quality round, shooting 3-under 69. He's in third place overall at 8-under 136.
Freshman Andrew Petruzzelli had his best score as a Horned Frog vs. par, shooting 4-under 68. His round included a 6-under 30 front nine that included seven birdies.
Toby Wilt recorded his second-straight score of 2-under 70 to finish the round tied for ninth at 4-under 140.
Ethan Dial shot two-strokes better than he did on Friday at 2-under 70. At 2-under 142 overall, Dial is tied for 15th place.
TCU will begin the final round at 9:54 a.m. CT on Sunday.
