MARICOPA, Ariz. – TCU finished the first round of the National Golf Invitational in first place after shooting 9-under 279 at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.
Jack Beauchamp is tied for the overall lead after making six birdies for a career-best 5-under 67. Starting on hole No. 10, he shot 3-under 33 for his first nine.
Andrew Petruzzelli and Toby Wilt are tied for ninth place after shooting 2-under 70. Ethan Dial is tied for 20th place at even-par 72.
The Horned Frogs, who are one stroke ahead of Richmond (-8) will begin the second round at 9:54 a.m. CT.
