The senior begins the second round at 9:31 a.m.
AUSTIN, Texas – Gustav Frimodt shot 2-under 69 in the opening round of the NCAA Austin Regional on Monday at the University of Texas Golf Club.
The senior began the day 3-under through seven holes before play was suspended due to lightning in the area. Play resumed after a two hour and 30-minute delay. Frimodt finished the front nine 1-under 34 and was 1-under 35 on the back.
He made an eagle on the par 5 No. 14 hole and had five birdies throughout the round. A double bogey on the final hole moved the Glamsbjerg, Denmark native from a tie for first place to a tie for 10th.
It was Frimodt's 21st round this season played even or under par out of 26 played.
He will begin the second round at 9:31 a.m. on Tuesday.
