
Frogs Advance to Third Straight NCEA Semifinal

TCU takes down No. 8 UC Davis 14-4
OCALA, Fla. – The TCU equestrian team advanced to its third straight NCEA National Championship Semifinal on Thursday afternoon after taking down No. 8 UC Davis 14-4 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla.
The Horned Frogs will make their sixth NCEA Semifinal appearance when they take on No. 4 Texas A&M on Friday at 9 a.m. beginning with fences and reining followed by flat and horsemanship.

FENCES
The quarterfinal meet began in the fences arena where the Horned Frogs swept the Aggies 4-0. Jordyn Scelsa earned her first win at the World Equestrian Center scoring a 78.67 on HD. Ella Bostwick scored a 78.67 on Cento to earn her ninth win of the season. Lilly Goldstein outscored her opponent by 5.33 points on Comboro to earn her first win as a Frog in the NCEA tournament. Sydney Berube earned the largest score of the event with an 85.33 on Nano to win the final point in the fences arena.
REINING
TCU took to the western arena earning a 4-1 win over UC Davis. Shea Graham showed JellyBean where she scored a 70.5 and earned her tenth win of the season in the event. Mattie Dukes won 68.67-68.33 to earn the sixth point of the day for the Frogs. Kaylene Cunningham won her first NCEA tournament point with a 69.17 on Hannah. Giorgia Medows wrapped up the event with a 71.67 win on Boss earning her thirtieth career win in the event.
FLAT
Frogs led 8-1 at the half before starting things back up in the flat arena where UC Davis ultimately won the event 3-2. Berube and Goldstein closed out the day 2-0 scoring a 75.33 on Georgie and 76 on Murphy, respectively.
HORSEMANSHIP
The horsemanship unit made a statement sweeping UC Davis 4-0 in the final event of the day. Dukes, Medows and Graham all earned their points to close out the day undefeated in western evens. Jessica McAllister entered the arena last and earned the highest score of the day with a beautiful ride on Chilli.
