TCU Wraps Up Friday Competition

Gracie Morris and Jace Posey shine for the Horned Frogs
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – TCU wrapped up a strong showing at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday.
In his collegiate track and field debut, Jace Posey won the high jump and recorded the fourth-best mark in outdoor history at 2.15m (7-0.5). His mark is also tied for the No. 15 jump in the NCAA this season.
Maria Bienvenu continued her stellar first season in the Purple and White with her third-place finish in the javelin at 51.27m (168-2). Also having a strong performance was Benjamin Kirbo. The sophomore tied his own school record of 5.15m (16-10.75) to finish sixth overall.
In the men's 400mH open, Jayden Douglas took seventh with his time of 52.22. Iyana Gray also tied her No. 3 mark in outdoor history in the women's 200m invite with her time of 22.95.
The Horned Frogs also made their mark in California at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Gracie Morris won her heat and placed 17th overall in the women's 800m invite, breaking her own school record with her time of 2:03.15. Graydon Morris joined his twin sister on her record-breaking night as he set the new TCU school record in the 5000m with his time of 13:43.46.
Rylan Engels (2:07.80) placed second overall in the women's 800m open and improved to No. 5 all time in outdoor program history.
