
Lau Ties for Second at The Show

Lifts TCU into tie for sixth after shooting a four-under 212
LAS VEGAS – Los Lau and Las Vegas proved a perfect match.
Less than 24 hours after becoming TCU's all-time birdies leader, Lau turned in her most impressive result of the 2023-24 campaign.
Lau finished as the runner-up at The Show at Spanish Trail Country Club. She shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday's final round and finished the 54-hole affair at minus-four (212).
TCU's lone senior, Lau carded 12 birdies – the third-most of any competitor in the 77-player field. Lau concluded the tournament third in par-4 scoring (3.90, -3).
Tuesday's showing signified her second top-three finish this season and eighth of her career. Lau ascended to 65th in the Scoreboard individual rankings with the performance.
Lau's efforts lifted TCU into a tie for sixth out of 13 teams. The Horned Frogs finished plus-18 (882) and ahead of nationally ranked foes in No. 31 Houston and No. 39 Tulsa. TCU climbed to 66th in the Scoreboard rankings, putting itself in contention to punch its 20th straight NCAA Regional ticket with two regular season events to go.
Sofia Barroso Sa finished 26th at six-over 222. The sophomore finished par-or-better on 39 holes.
Meagan Winans and Sheridan Clancy each fired a 10-over 226 to tie for 41st. Winans played even-par golf in Monday's opening round, bagging five birdies. She birdied nine holes for the tournament. Clancy notched her highest individual finish of the season.
Kirstin Angosta exited the court one stroke back of Winans and Clancy at 11-over and tied for 44th.
Rounding out TCU's showing was Sofie Dimitrova, who competed unattached and tied for 61st at plus-16.
