STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 18 TCU dropped a 6-3 decision in the rubber match at Oklahoma State Sunday afternoon at O'Brate Stadium. Ryder Robinson had two hits in the loss.
The Rundown
TCU took an early 2-0 lead scoring single runs in the first and second inning. A bases-loaded wild pitch allowed Logan Maxwell to score in the first. After Karson Bowen reached on an error in the second, Ryder Robinson doubled to drive him in for the 2-0 lead.
Oklahoma State cut the lead in half with a run on three hits in the second. With two outs, an 83-minute rain delay prematurely ended Louis Rodriguez's night. Out of the delay, Braeden Sloan got a strikeout to end the second.
The Cowboys took the lead for good in the third, scoring three times on three hits to take a 4-2 lead. They added two more runs in the eighth to open up a 6-2 lead.
TCU picked up a run in the ninth on a two-out base hit from Logan Maxwell to account for the final score.
Rodriguez went 1 2/3 innings, allowing a run on three hits. He struck out one. Sloan (3-2) took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits in 1 2/3.
