TCU competes in its first spring race
FORT WORTH – The TCU triathlon team is prepared to travel to the heart of Florida for their first-ever appearance in the Clermont Draft Legal EDR. TCU will compete in two races, with the first beginning at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 3 in Clermont, Fla.
The Clermont Draft Legal event attracts talent across the nation to participate in a weekend of fourteen separate draft-legal races. This will be the Horned Frogs' first spring race as the team is returning from their sixth-place finish at Nationals in November.
In the Frogs' first appearance at Nationals, sophomores Maria Coral and Sara Gimena led the team with both athletes finishing inside the top 20. Their impressive achievements earned them All-American recognition by the Collegiate Triathlon Coach's Association.
