Frogs earn seventh ranked win of the season
FORT WORTH – The No. 1 ranked TCU equestrian team defeated No. 4 South Carolina 13-6 at KSM Bear Creek Farm on Friday, Feb. 9 and advanced to 9-0 for the first time in program history.
The Frogs earned three of the four Most Outstanding Performer awards. Shea Graham earned the honor in reining and horsemanship while Sydney Berube took the honors in fences.
FENCES
The meet started off with the fences where the Horned Frogs took a 3-2 lead. Franki Guidi earned the first point for the Frogs with an 82 on Electric. Ella Bostwick followed, winning her point on Phia with the score of 84. The event MOP, Berube closed out fences for the Frogs securing her point with an impressive score of 90, tying her career high score. The senior earned the MOP honor in fences for the first time this season, marking her fourth career MOP honor.
REINING
The reining team got things started for the western team with a 2-2 finish to tie the Gamecocks. Graham kicked things off with a 72 on Roxie earning her point and the MOP of the event. Kaylene Cunningham earned her fourth career win in the event with a 72 on Snoop Dog.
FLAT
The flat started the second half and bounced back to secure a 3-2 win. Lilly Goldstein secured her point with a 76 on Lina. Berube earned her second point of the day on Mac with a 77. Bostwick concluded the jumping seat events with a 72 on Gipsy to win her point.
HORSEMANSHIP
The meet ended with horsemanship where the Frogs earned their sixth consecutive sweep in the event. Giorgia Medows started the event off with a 75.5 on Bob. Mattie Dukes followed, earning her point with the score of 76.5 on Champ. Jessica McAllister gained the third point on Jake with a 73. Graham earned her first horsemanship MOP this season with a 77 on Dewey. Payton Boutelle closed out the meet with her ride on Hooter scoring a 75 earning her twentieth career win.

TCU will be back in action in its final home meet of the season on Friday, Feb. 23 at KSM Bear Creek Ranch to host No. 7 Oklahoma State University at 10 a.m.
