
Frogs Take Down Cowgirls on Senior Day

TCU stays perfect at home 6-0
FORT WORTH – The No. 1 ranked TCU equestrian team topped No. 7 Oklahoma State University 14-6 on Friday afternoon at KSM Bear Creek Farm. The Frogs advanced to 10-0 for the first time in program history.
The Frogs earned three of the four Most Outstanding Performers awards. Ashleigh Scully earned the honors in the fences, Lilly Goldstein in the Flat and Mattie Dukes in the Horsemanship.
FENCES
The meet started with fences, where the Horned Frogs topped the Cowgirls 4-1. Ella Bostwick kicked things off and earned the first point for the Frogs with a 78. Scully earned the MOP honors with her score of an 89. Sydney Berube followed with an 88. Jordyn Scelsa closed out the event and respectively won her point with an 87.
REINING
The reining team followed where Giorgia Medows won her point for the Frogs with a score of 71.5 on Smooch. Jessica McAllister secured her point with a 69.5 on Britney. The event ended with a 3-2 score, Cowgirls.
FLAT
Flat got things started for the second half of the meet where the Frogs took a 4-1 win over the Cowgirls. Scully tied her career high score of a 91 on Lui. Goldstein secured the MOP honor and her career high score of a 93 on Dover. Berube and Bostwick wrapped up the jumping seat events for the day with an 89 respectively.
HORSEMANSHIP
The meet ended with horsemanship where the Frogs earned a 4-1 win over the Cowgirls. Dukes earned the MOP honors with her point on Cupid with a 77. Payton Boutelle secured her point on Jake with a 73. Shea Graham earner her point on Bob with a 77 and Medows won her point on Hooter with a 76.
UP NEXT
TCU will be back in action next week in Waco, Texas where they will take on the Baylor Bears at 1 p.m. on Friday March 1.
