
TCU Rallies For Walk-Off Win Friday Night

Frogs score seven unanswered runs to win
The Rundown
Peyton Chatagnier led off the ninth with a walk. His third stolen base of the night had him in scoring position with two out. Jack Arthur raced down the line on a strikeout/wild pitch. The throw down to first was wild and Chatagnier raced around third, sliding safely across home plate with the game-winning run to lock up the come-from-behind win.
TCU's comeback bid began in the seventh with a pair of solo home runs from Anthony Silva and Chase Brunson to make it a 9-5 ballgame.
A four spot in the eighth tied the game at nine. The first five batters reached in the inning. Kurtis Byrne singled to make it a 9-6 ballgame. An RBI-single from Silva followed by a ground out from Karson Bowen pulled the Frogs within one, 9-8. Brunson tied the game with a sacrifice fly to set up the ninth-inning win.
TCU built a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second, but Florida Gulf Coast rallied with seven unanswered to open up a 7-2 lead. Luke Boyers drove in Bowen in the fifth to make it a 7-3 ballgame, but Mac Moise hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth to push the lead to six, 9-3.
Payton Tolle started and allowed four runs on three hits in three innings of work. He struck out seven and walked one in the no-decision. Louis Rodriguez fanned two in a scoreless inning of relief.
Zachary Cawyer (1-0) did yeoman's work in relief. He wiggled out of a bases-loaded, nobody out jam in the seventh and allowed just one base runner in the final two innings to earn the win. He finished the night with six strikeouts.
