
Diorio Named Semifinalist For MAC Hermann Trophy

Sophomore is one of 15 semifinalists
FORT WORTH - TCU women's soccer standout Bella Diorio has been named one of 15 semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy Award. Diorio is one of two Big 12 athletes named to the semifinalist list.
Diorio is the fourth Horned Frog to be named a semifinalist for the award. She joins Emily Alvarado (2020), Messiah Bright (2021) and Yazmeen Ryan (2020) on the distinguished list.
Diorio had a breakout year for the Horned Frogs as she was named the Big 12 Forward of the Year and received All-Big 12 first-team honors. Diorio was a catalyst for the Frogs' as they claimed the 2024 Big 12 Regular Season title with a record of 9-0-2 in league play and clinched a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in nine seasons. The sophomore started all 23 games, produced 11 goals and notched four assists for 26 points. Diorio tallied two braces on the year and netted four game-winners.
Three women finalists will be named on Wednesday, Dec. 11 with the winner being announced on Jan. 3, 2025 in a ceremony at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.
