SCOUTING REPORT
Ranked No. 12 in the nation heading into the week, Kansas looks to bounce back after a tough week. The preseason favorite to win the conference, the Jayhawks dropped their first two matches in Big 12 play, falling to No. 11 Arizona State and unranked Arizona on the road. Back at the Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena, Kansas is 10-1 on the year on its home court. The Jayhawks rank ninth nationally with a .297 hitting percentage. Setter Camryn Turner leads the league and ranks third in the country, dishing out 11.31 assists per set. Among her offensive weapons are outside hitter Ayah Elnady (3.12 kills per set), middle blocker Toyosi Onabanjo (2.59 kills per set) and opposite hitter London Davis (2.58 kills per set). Defensively, Kansas leads the conference with 2.54 blocks per set and ranks fourth with 15.68 digs per set.
After a tough 2-7 non-conference slate, Kansas State has rebounded in Big 12 Conference play. Sitting at 7-5, the Wildcats find themselves in the middle of the pack in the league standings, inching their way towards .500 on the season. Aliyah Carter paces the Kansas State attack. The senior outside ranks second in the Big 12 behind Melanie Parra with 358 kills on the season, 4.26 per set. The Wildcats boast one of the conference's stingiest defenses, leading the Big 12 with 16.85 digs per set. Libero Ella Larkin anchors the unit, ranking third with 4.55 digs per set.
