The Rundown
Seven Castain netted her 11th goal of the season in the fourth minute of the contest as she drained the penalty kick to give the Frogs an early 1-0 advantage. The penalty kick was drawn by Cameron Patton as she attacked into the box and caused the Cowgirl defender to deflect her shot attempt with her hand.
The Frogs enter the break with a 7-3 shot advantage. Megan Plaschko made two saves in the first 45 minutes of play.
Early in the second half, the Cowgirls controlled possession in an attempt to find the equalizer. A Cowgirl forward squandered an opportunity to even the score as she missed her bid at an open net.
