Match to take place in West Point, N.Y.
FORT WORTH – The No. 8 ranked TCU women's rifle squad is set to resume action Sunday when it takes on No. 2 Georgia Southern. The match will take place in West Point, N.Y. on the Army campus. Sighting for the match is set for 6:45 a.m. (CT).
Traveling for the match will be Marissa Fedora, Christina Hillinger, Mikole Hogan, Rylie Passmore, Anne White and Katie Zaun.
In its first match of the season, TCU fired a team score of 4,716. TCU shot a 2,344 in smallbore and a 2,372 in air rifle. The Frogs aggregate average is seventh nationally as is their air rifle average. TCU sits fifth nationally in smallbore average.
Zaun has picked up where she left off last season. She sits fourth nationally with an aggregate average of 1,187. She is second nationally with a 592 smallbore average. Hillinger fired a team-best 596 in air rifle with Zaun right behind her with a 595.
Hogan continues to be a steady presence in the lineup, shooting a 585 in smallbore and a 591 in air rifle in her first outing of the season. Fedora produced an aggregate of 1,169 (583 smallbore, 586 air rifle), while Passmore fired a 1,173 (583 smallbore, 590 air rifle). Anne White will be making her season debut.
Georgia Southern enters the match having competed three times this season. The Eagles have season of averages of 2,341.33 in smallbore and 2,380.33 in air rifle for an aggregate average of 4,721.67. Emme Walrath is the squad's top shooter with an aggregate average of 1,186.67. Georgia Southern competed Saturday against Army, shooting a score of 4,734.
