23rd-ranked Horned Frogs aim to build on consecutive top-five finishes
FORT WORTH –TCU has a demonstrated history of success at Kissing Tree Golf Club and will tee it up at the Texas Hill Country course once more.
The Horned Frogs compete in their penultimate fall event at the Jim West Challenge, held Sunday through Monday in San Marcos.
Teams will play 36 holes of golf on Sunday and finish with a final round on Monday.
TCU is going with a five-player lineup of Kirstin Angosta, Sofia Barroso Sá, Meagan Winans, Gracie McGovern and Camille Min-Gaultier. Joining the quintet of Frogs is Sofie Dimitrova, who will compete as an individual.
The Horned Frogs are participating in the Jim West Challenge for the ninth consecutive year dating back to the 2016-17 campaign. Last season, TCU broke its program record for low round vs. par, carding a 17-under 271 over its final 18 holes. TCU won the 2018 Jim West Challenge and finished as the outright runner-up three years later. The 2021 edition of the tournament also saw TCU set an all-time record for low-36 holes score (557, -19).
TCU is riding back-to-back top-five team finishes into the Texas State-hosted event. The Horned Frogs placed a solo fourth at three-under 557 in its most recent event, the Schooner Fall Classic and won the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on Sept. 11 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky.
The Course – Kissing Tree Golf Club – Par 72 / 6,123 yards
Kissing Tree Golf Course is a semi-private 18-hole golf course set on the banks of the Texas Hill Country. The course opened in October 2018 and is managed by the world-renowned golf industry leader, Troon Golf. Designed by local Texan, Gary Stephenson, KTGC serves as an extension of the natural landscape – blending grades of edges, slopes, and contours of the landscape into its striped fairways and angulated greens.

Kirstin Angosta
The Horned Frogs will play in Fort Worth for the first time in four seasons to conclude the fall.
TCU hosts the inaugural Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate on Oct. 28-29 at nearby Ridglea Country Club in its final event in 2024.
The 54-hole event is free and open to the public. The 11-team field includes a trio of conference colleagues in Baylor, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, regional rivals North Texas and SMU, and perennial NCAA Championship contenders Texas A&M and Wake Forest.
Nearly 20 years have elapsed since TCU last sponsored a stroke play event. TCU was the host school for the Conference USA Championship on April 19-21, 2004, at Shady Oaks Country Club.
The Horned Frogs' most recent home tournaments took place in April 2021 in a pair of match play events vs. Baylor and North Texas at Shady Oaks and Hawks Creek Golf Course.
The short stroll down Camp Bowie Blvd is fans' first of two opportunities to line the fairways in Funky Town. TCU will also host the spring Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate on March 24-25 at Colonial Country Club.

- The Horned Frogs are the third-highest ranked team in the Big 12, trailing only No. 4 Arizona State and No. 8 Arizona.
- TCU has three players featured in the top-100 of the Scoreboard individual rankings; No. 77 Kirstin Angosta, No. 85 Sofia Barroso Sá and No. 94 Meagan Winans. The Horned Frogs are one of four Big 12 teams boasting multiple top-100 players alongside Arizona, Arizona State and No. 24 Baylor.
- TCU won its first tournament title in six years with its triumph at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on Sept. 11 at the PGA Tour Keene Trace Golf Club. The Horned Frogs finished seven-over (871) and won by a 12-stroke margin. TCU played even-par golf over its final 36 holes.
- TCU's birdie game has blossomed through three tournaments in 2024-25. Six players have tallied a combined 120 birdies. The Horned Frogs bagged a tournament-leading 39 birdies on their way to the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational championship. At the Carmel Cup, TCU carded 29 of its 42 birdies over the final two rounds.
- TCU notched a season-high four top-20's at the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 21-23. All four players finished even or under par.
- The Horned Frogs have recorded their low round score in the final round in 10 of their last 13 events dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.
- TCU has finished even or under par in nine of its last 13 final rounds.
- TCU was tabbed No. 31 in Golf Channel's 2024-25 preseason rankings. Half of the expanded Big 12 cracked the top-35 of the annual prognostication. - Since assuming the program helm 1994, Ravaioli-Larkin has qualified TCU for NCAA Regionals in 27 of her 30 completed seasons.
- TCU has reached the NCAA Championships nine times under Ravaioli-Larkin, including consecutive appearances in 2022 and 2023.

Kirstin Angosta
- The sophomore is making her 10th straight start as a Horned Frog. She teed it up in all six of TCU's spring tournaments in 2023-24.
- From nearby Coppell High School, Angosta is riding consecutive top-20 finishes into San Macros.
- Angosta shot two-under 70 in the first and third rounds on her way to an outright runner-up finish at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational. The performance signified her second career top-10.
- Angosta holds TCU's season records for low round (66, -4) and low-54 (213, -3).
- Angosta parred Pebble Beach in round three of the Carmel Cup. She was TCU's biggest riser in the tournament in the final round. She jumped from 35th and into a tie for 26th (+14, 230).
- She tallied a team-leading 55 birdies during the spring portion of the 2023-24 season.
- Angosta tied for sixth at The Chevron Collegiate in February, shooting a nine-under 207.
- Angosta has posted six top-30 finishes in nine career starts.
- Angosta boasts a team-best career-high Scoreboard individual ranking of No. 173.
- She concluded the 2023-24 season with a 72.3 adjusted scoring average.
- Barroso Sá leads TCU in scoring average (72.6) and counters (8-8) through three fall tournaments.

- Barroso Sá has placed inside top-20 in all three of her starts. She tied for third at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational at even-par (216) to register her fourth career top-10 finish.
- Barroso Sá has scored par or better in five of her eight rounds played this season.

- Winans notched the first collegiate top-10 finish of her career at the Carmel Cup, placing ninth outright (+3, 219).
- She collected five birdies in round one of the Carmel Cup on her way to a three-under 69. Winans was tied for fifth following the first 18 holes.
- Winans was the second-highest finisher of 18 Big 12 competitors at the Carmel Cup.
- She shot a one-under 71 in the final round of the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational to force a tie for 14th and earn her second career top-20.

- McGovern produced TCU's best score over rounds two and three in the Carmel Cup. She shot a four-over 148 over the final 36 holes on her way to a tie for 20th at Pebble Beach.
- She has delivered a countable score in 7-of-8 rounds this season.
- McGovern was the world No. 9 junior amateur golfer in 2023 and was ranked as high as seventh in the Rolex Junior Rankings that same year.
- Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, McGovern became the first female to win the AIA D-III State Championship in 16 years in 2023.
- McGovern competed at the LPGA Liberty National Tournament in 2023 and was paired with world No. 10 Charley Hull in her final round.
- The 2023 season also saw McGovern selected to compete for Team USA in the Jr. Solheim Cup.

- She notched a collegiate low round record of 67 (-3) over the final 18 holes in Norman. The freshman bagged a team-leading five birdies in round three.
- Min-Gaultier has placed in the top-25 in all three of her starts ahead of the Jim West Challenge.
- The freshman for 22nd at the Carmel Cup (+13, 229) in her collegiate debut. She then fired a one-under 71 in the second round of the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on her way to a tie for 23rd (+9, 225).
- Min-Gaultier has shot a 71 or better in three of her last four rounds.
- From La Londe-les Maures, France, Min-Gaultier achieved a career-high world junior amateur golf ranking of No. 82 in 2024.
- Min-Gaultier won the 2024 Italian International Ladies Championship and was crowned Vice Champion of France Ladies earlier this spring.
