
Triathlon Finishes Second at Regionals

Eight Frogs placed within the top 20
WAKE FOREST, N.C. – The TCU triathlon team saw eight top-20 finishers in their second place finish at Eastern Regionals this afternoon. The Horned Frogs tallied 620 points as a team, falling behind first-place finisher, Queens University of Charlotte who had 638 points.
Kira Gupta-Baltazar led the way in fifth with a time of 59:28, her best finish of the season. Amanda Moro followed behind in sixth, clocking in a 59:47. Jenna Buchanan grabbed her third top-10 finish with a time of 1:00:50. Sara Gimena and Hannah Ye crossed the finish almost simultaneously, ending with 11th and 12th place finishes respectively.
Marley Andelman and Maddie Perkins finished 14th and 15th while Kennedy Calcagno placed 20th.
The Frogs will travel to the west coast to race in the Bearathlon on Sunday, Oct. 27. Following their California trip, they will prepare for the National Championships on Nov. 9 in Clermont, Fl. TCU finished sixth in last year's National Championship - their first as a program.
