Bech Named a Midseason All-American

TCU wide receiver recognized by the Senior Bowl
MOBILE, Ala. -- TCU wide receiver Jack Bech has been named a Midseason All-American by the Senior Bowl, college football's premier All-Star Game.
Bech's selection was made by the Senior Bowl's scouting staff among eligible players for this year's Feb. 1 game in Mobile, Ala. It will be televised on NFL Network.
Bech, who appears on the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, is one of just two players to rank in the top three nationally in receiving yards (3rd, 702) and touchdown catches (T-3rd, 7). He's tied for 10th in receptions (39).
Bech has topped 100 yards in four games, including a 200-yard effort against UCF that ranks third among Power Four Conference players this season. He is on pace to break TCU records for receptions, yards and touchdowns in a season, held by 2015 Consensus First-Team All-American, Biletnikoff Award Finalist and first-round NFL draft pick Josh Doctson.
A senior from Lafayette, La., Bech had a career-high 10 catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-27 win at Kansas. He has four receptions of at least 43 yards this season which also represent the four-longest catches of his career.
