
Freshmen Lead Frogs in Final Day at Colonial

TCU finished in 15th place
FORT WORTH – In the final round of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, it was a pair of freshmen leading the way for the TCU men's golf team on Tuesday.
Aidan Dortch and Charlie Wylie had the Horned Frogs best rounds of the day at Colonial Country Club. Dortch used a first nine score of 1-under 34 to shoot a season-low 1-over 71 for the round. Dortch, along with Scott Roden, finished tied for 69th place.
Wylie made birdie on three of his first seven holes and finished 2-over 72. He led the Horned Frogs with a score of 12-over 222 for the tournament and tied for 58th place.
Jack Beauchamp, who was just outside the top 20 after 36 holes, shot 10-over 80 on Tuesday and fell to a tie for 64th place at 13-over 223.
The Horned Frogs matched their first-round score on Tuesday at 15-over 295 and remained in 15th place. Oklahoma won the tournament at 10-over, four shots ahead of Texas. North Carolina's
David Ford won the event at 9-over 201, one of seven players under par. Ford earned an exemption to the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge, held at Colonial Country Club.
TCU will next be in action Oct. 7-9 for Big 12 Match Play, held at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockely, Texas.
