
TCU in Fourth after Opening Day of Big 12

Play resumes at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – After a windy opening day at Prairie Dunes Country Club on Monday, the TCU men's golf team sits in fourth place at the Big 12 Championship.
TCU was in sixth place after 18 holes but shot 4-over 284 in the second round to move up two spots to fourth. With steady winds of 20 MPH out of the south and temperatures in the 50s and 60s, the Horned Frogs shot 16-over 576 and are in front of No. 14 Texas by one stroke. No. 10 Oklahoma (-6) leads the championship.
Jacob Skov Olesen and Maxence Giboudot are tied for ninth place after shooting 2-over 142. Olesen carded five birdies and shot 3-under 69 in the second round, the low for TCU on the day.
Gustav Frimodt shot even-par 70 following an opening round of 5-over 75. The senior is in a tie for 19th place at 5-over 145.
Aymeric Laussot is tied for 23rd place after shooting 7-over 147.
Jonas Baumgartner (-9) of Oklahoma State is in first place, followed by Texas Tech's Ludvig Aberg (-7).
TCU will be paired with the Red Raiders for the third round on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. The two teams will begin on hole No. 1.
