The Frogs return to Baylor for the second time this season
FORT WORTH – TCU track and field makes their second trip of the season to Baylor as the Frogs are set for the Michael Johnson Invitational.

Last Time Out
Gracie Morris broke her own school record in the 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The junior ran a 4:13.38 to be ranked No. 23 in Division I this season.
Iyana Gray highlighted a successful Sooner Invitational & Multi with her winning time of 22.77 (4.0w) in the 200m. Gray was the only competitor to run sub-23 at the meet and she currently ranks No. 13 in the 200m. She also is No. 9 in the 100m (11.02) in the 100m.
Jade Ferrell added to the winning day for the Horned Frogs with her first-place finish in the high jump. She cleared 1.63m (5' 4.25") for her second win of the outdoor season.
In the men's 4x100 relay, a strong anchor leg from Clinton Muunga propelled the Frogs to victory. The team of him, Emmanuel Ekong, Donnie James and Gregory Sholars clocked a 40.28 to place first.
Ryan Martin continued his successful season with a winning time of 3:51.55 in the 1500m. In the 200m, Iyana Gray dominated the competition and ran a 22.77 (4.0w). She was the only competitor to run sub-23.
TCU closed out the day with a sweep of the 4x400 relay. The women's team of Kiana Banks, Samarra Monrroy, Jasmin Muhammad-Graham and Rylan Engels won with their time of 3:47.79. On the men's side, James, Simbarashe Maketa, David Seete and Ryan Jordan won at 3:11.76.
Big 12 Athletes of the Week
TCU swept the Big 12 Athlete of the Week awards on March 22. With her three wins at the TCU Alumni Invite, Gray garnered TCU's first female Big 12 Athlete of the Week award since 2021. She currently leads the Big 12 in both the 100m and the 4x100 relay. On the men's side, Mudzengerere's victory in the triple jump earned Big 12 Athlete of the Week after leading the Big 12 in the triple jump.
2022 Indoor Season Recap
Both Grace Anigbata and Jaren Holmes garnered Second Team All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Anigbata finished 10th overall with her school-record leap of 13.58m (44' 6.75").
On the men's side, Holmes finished ninth with his mark of 16.23m (53' 3"). It's the third time this indoor season he has cleared 16.10m and the first time he has garnered All-American honors.
