Gray advances to 100m finals, women's DMR sets school record
AUSTIN, Texas – Iyana Gray and the women's distance medley relay highlighted Day Two of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays for TCU.
Gray, who finished third overall in the 100m prelims, clocked a 11.02 (3.5w) to qualify for Saturday's finals. Her time of 11.02 currently ranks No. 1 in the Big 12.
In the women's distance medley relay, London Culbreath, Samarra Monrroy, Jasmin Muhammad-Graham and Gracie Morris set the school record with their time of 11:21.14.
Jaren Holmes recorded a personal-best 16.30m (53' 5.75") in the triple jump finals, earning him the fifth-farthest mark in program history and also recording a Top 10 mark in Division I this season.
Also jumping a career-best was Theophilus Mudzengerere (16.02m). It's the first time in his collegiate career he has cleared 16.00m, earning him a second-place finish.
The men's sprint medley squad of Emmanuel Ekong, David Seete, Amere Talley and Ryan Martin clocked a 3:21.99.
In the women's 4x400, the squad of Samarra Monrroy, Dreunna Washington, Emma Seetoo and Kiana Banks clocked a season-best 3:38.81 to finish 12th overall.
