WILMINGTON, N.C. – TCU opened play at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday with a 10-under 278 was tied for first place after the first round at Country Club of Landfall.

The Horned Frogs ended the first round tied with Stetson for the lead. After starting the second round, play was suspended due to lightning and after play resumed, darkness set in. Most teams were about four holes short of finishing the second round.

Freshman Jack Beauchamp made five birdies and tied a career-low with a 4-under 68. He finished the first round tied for third place with teammate Jacob Skov Olesen, who made four birdies and eagled the final hole, a 504-yard par 5.

Aymeric Laussot and Chris Berzina shot 1-under 71 and tied for 24^th place. Berzina was added to the lineup late after an injury to Gustav Frimodt. Berzina shot 2-under 34 on the front nine and 1-over 37 on the back.

Maxence Giboudot shot 1-over 73 and is tied for 41^st place.

The second round will resume at 7:30 a.m. CT with the third and final round to follow immediately without repairing.
