Laussot leads the Frogs with a career-best
WILMINGTON, N.C. – TCU shot a season-best 21-under 843 to win the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday at the Country Club of Landfall.
It was the Horned Frogs' second-straight tournament win after capturing the GCU Invitational title their last time out on March 14.
TCU's 4-under 284 for the final round was good enough to stave off Wright State (-20), which finished one shot back. TCU shot 7-under 281 as the second round was completed on Monday after a suspension of play on Sunday.
Aymeric Laussot put together three rounds of under par (71, 69, 67) for a career-best 9-under 207. He finished tied for third place, his second top 10 and third top 20 finish this season.
Jacob Skov Olesen tied for 14th place, his fourth top 20 finish. He shot 5-under 211, a season-best vs. par. Olesen finished the tournament with rounds of 3-under 69 and 2-over 74.
In his third-collegiate tournament, freshman Jack Beauchamp shot a career-best 2-under 214 and finished tied for 24th.
Chris Berzina finished at even-par 216 and finished tied for 36th place.
Freshman Maxence Giboudot finished with his best round of the day at 2-under 70 for a tournament score of 2-over 218. He finished tied for 40th place.
TCU will next compete at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, April 3-4 at Whirlwind Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
