Chahbandour Shines in Day Two at NIC

Two Records Fall
Elkhart, Indiana: TCU Swim made multiple appearances on the podium in day two of the National Invitational Championships in Elkhart, Indiana.
The day began with a historical performance in the preliminaries. Claire Chahbandour set a new TCU record, one she previously held. In the women's 100 breaststroke, the sophomore raised the bar with an all-time mark. She swam 1:01.27, advancing to the finals.
As the finals pushed forward, the Frogs broke multiple school records. First penciled in the history books was Jeanne Dahmen. The sophomore pushed the 100 fly record with her second place finish (53.45).
Chahbandour extended her already impressive year two campaign with another school record in the finals and a third-place finals finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.92).
To conclude day three at the NIC championships, the men's 800 freestyle relay team finished in third place with a time of 6:29.74 taking home the bronze medal.
Up Next: The Horned Frogs will be back in the water on Saturday, March 11 in Elkhart, Indiana. The preliminary events will begin at 11 a.m. and finals will commence at 6 p.m.
