Taiwo leads the Horned Frogs with 14 points
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Tomi Taiwo led the Frogs with 14 points in TCU's 73-55 loss to Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse on Wednesday evening. Emily Fisher tied her season-high 13 points and also dished a team-leading three assists.
The Rundown
The Horned Frogs got off to a solid start in the opening minutes of play. Tomi Taiwo knocked down a 3-pointer with 9:15 remaining to give TCU a 4-0 lead. Lucy Ibeh knocked down two free throws to put TCU up 6-4 with 6:38 left in the quarter.
Kansas began to extend its lead and never looked back. After leading 15-8 after the first quarter, the Jayhawks outscored the Frogs 24-11 in the second frame to take a 20-point lead at the half.
TCU outscored Kansas in the second half, with 11 of Taiwo's 14 points coming in the final 20 minutes. Despite the scoring from TCU, the Jayhawks' lead was too big to overcome.
Taiwo (14) and Fisher (13) both scored double figures for the Frogs.

TCU (6-17, 0-12) heads to Austin, Texas, for its rematch against the Longhorns (19-6, 10-2) on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. The game will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
