Giboudot Leads TCU After Opening Round

TCU starts at 11 a.m. on Monday

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Freshman Maxence Giboudot shot 4-under 68 to lead the TCU men's golf team in the opening round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nev.

In just his second collegiate tournament, Giboudot shot 4-under in the final six holes to shoot 3-under 33 on his second nine. He will begin the second round in a tie for eighth place.

Aymeric Laussot and Jacob Skov Olesen each shot even-par 72 and are tied for 29^th place.

Gustav Frimodt had four birdies and shot 2-over 74. Brandon Massey is one back at 3-over 75.

The Horned Frogs shot 2-under 286 as a team and are in a tie with New Mexico for sixth place. No. 4 North Carolina (-17) leads the tournament that features nine top 25 teams.

TCU will begin Monday's round at 11 a.m. with No. 9 Oklahoma and No. 15 Texas A&M.
