David Ekdahl Honored by Sweden

Named 2022 Male Diver of the Year
Fort Worth: David Ekdahl was honored by the Swedish Athletic Commission being named the 2022 Swedish Male Diver of the Year.
In Ekdahl's young career, he has solidified himself as the one of the best TCU divers in school history. In 2022 alone, he qualifies for the NCAA Championships on both the 1-meter and 3-meter. He currently holds the school record in both diving events.
Last season, he become the first TCU diver to win a Big 12 Championship since joining the conference on 1-meter. He became a silver medalist on the Big 12 Championships on the 3-meter.
Ekdahl cemented his honor with his performance in the European Diving Championships on 3-meter. In the prelims he finished in twelfth place, which was good enough for a spot in the finals. In the 3-meter final, Ekdahl fought his way to a top-five finish. He also finished top 10 in the 2022 Winter Diving Championships in Nov. 2022.
